POLKADOT (DOT)

Polkadot is a unique network that was invented to connect all other blockchain networks. Its goal is to create a platform for developers where they can already develop a value-creating product that works on all blockchains. A real multichain application environment that ensures interoperability between networks. Polkadot wants to become a basic infrastructure platform that all blockchains can build on. They believe that for this a system must be built where everyone participates on equal terms. The two main problems that blockchain-based systems have to solve are scalability and governance. By scalability, we mean how many transactions the network can process per second. Governance refers to how the community manages the changes. Polkadot tries to solve both problems. It is very similar to the plans for ETH 2.0. Both would attempt to decentralize the blockchain, which would make the authentication of transactions more efficient. In the longer term, it can be a serious opponent of Ethereum, it has attracted the attention of many application developers. Polkadot's own internal token is DOT. Token holders can vote on code changes, which will be automatically applied to the entire network if there is a consensus.
