Quant was launched in June 2018 with the aim of connecting blockchains and networks globally without reducing network efficiency and throughput. It solves the interoperability problem as a blockchain operating system. Quant's operating system, Overledger, is designed to act as a gateway for all blockchain-based projects to access all other existing chains. It also links an application to other applications in the same blockchain ecosystem. It is designed to provide a secure and cost-effective API connection to all major DLTs and offers universal interoperability by continuously adding DLTs and APIs. Although the enterprise adoption of distributed ledger technologies is still in its infancy, there are already signs of growth, with hundreds of projects already underway. Early adopters of the technology are already seeing the benefits and DLT-based solutions are gaining ground in many sectors.
